Our Doula Philosophy
It is our goal to support mothers and their families as they journey into a joyous and often overwhelming time. We provide assistance with birth plans, labor support, and a range of postpartum care inclusive of breastfeeding support. We are committed to helping families gather information about labor, and the options they have for the birth.
Whether you choose to have your baby at home or in hospital, with the assistance of a Dr. or a midwife; as doulas we recognize the mother's goals in the birth process as she defines them, we honor and support her choices.
We do not attempt to replace partners/husbands in the birth process - we are there to guide them in supporting their loved one through the birth process and facilitate them getting the most out of the experience they can. In the postpartum period we aim to facilitate a smooth transition for the mother and her family.
If a doula were a drug, it would be unethical not to use it.
